BOARD
OF SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISION
The
current Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission was reconstituted
by the President with effect from the 17th of January 2002. The
reconstitution of the Board became necessary after the previous
Board's tenure ended on the 9th of September 2001.
As
provided under Securities Industry Law, 1993 PNDCL 333, members
of the Board will serve a term of three (3) years and are eligible
for re-appointment.
The
current Board is composed of 10 members (Commissioners) and made
up of a Chairman, three institutional representatives, the Director-General,
Deputy Director-General and four other members. They are:
